I painted my */C black and haven't noticed any difference in performance associated with locked in heat. I haven't felt it after running it to temp either. With it being painted your going have some heat locked in, if you put even a light jacket on your going to warmer than if you have just a shirt on

I think it'* been talked about before, or I saw it somewhere else and basically it'* such a thin layer that it won't really effect anything. The SC is gonna get hot and there isn't enough airflow under the hood to cool it down so a little paint isn't going to effect it

Really not going to effect it any. Make sure you choose a good paint, heat will be a factor as well as gas and oil. I've seen some with chipped paint and that looks like crud

The only thing that seems to matter is surface prep. I used Krylon Wrinkle Paint. It hides all the chargers imperfections etc. it'* not rated for heat or anything else and I've thrown it all at this puppy.

Prepped with a good brake cleaner.

Boosty has a sweet SC, I'd like to clean mine up and hit it with some of that wrinkle paint as well.

I used an air grinder and a wire wheel after a good dose of brake cleaner to prep. And then painted with a high temp Duplicolor paint

I think a good anodized black would be nice, all the cool of paint without any of the negatives of heat lock.
