Default part #?

Can anyone give me the boost control solenoid part # or somewhere that i can order one. GM parts desk keep telling me the part doesn't exsist or that i'm looking for a boost bypass actuater. Is there a difference? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Jason..welcome to the club. On that BCS, many times you can find them at the local junkyard for almost no cost.

However... we need to know what your car is, for example mine are a 95 SSEi and 97 SSEi. Since we know you are supercharged...we really only need year, but it'* a good idea to put your car year and designation into your signature. This way in the future you never need to say what your car is.

Can you put that in your signature?

Try searching on 'BCS part number' and click the bubble for 'search for all terms'. What are your symptoms?

I think you're going to want to contact Ed Morad or a wrecker for that part...I checked last week at GM for a friends 98 GTP - $322 CDN ($270 USD).

Cheers,

Foghorn, I think your numbers are a little off. He asked for the solonoid part number, which should only be about $30.

Oops. Forgot this last night. For the Series 2:

BCS: 1997244
BCA: 12371988

For the Series 1:

BCS: 12353309
BCA: Not listed in my books. ????

Well could be , though most people call the actuator the solenoid as a figure of speech. It'* pretty rare for the solenoid to be a problem but people break the vacuum fittings off the actuator.

Default BCS

I hope this is the least intrusive way to refer to this problem. So is the BCS part number for a 94 SSEI the 12353309 that I copied from above?

It just won't make much boost, maybe 2-3# at this altitude (3700 feet) but never would make over 8-9 when new?

Thanks, TT
