Default Post you BOOST!

I have a stock '92 SSEi and I was wondering what boost should be around for a '92-'93. I dont have a mechanical gauge, just the one in the dash. I feel that mine is quite high for being stock. I go way past 10 and prob. peak at 11 or 12. Does this sound right or should I start looking into what is making my car have not the best flow?

* Fell free to post what boost you get with what pully. (I know there are other factors BUT. . . )

Yours is off. Consider changing your MAP sensor.

Stock 92-95 SSEi'* should see 8-9psi on a stock pulley on a cool (60°F) day. Mine was close to 9. With the 2.2", I get 11-12psi depending on outside air temp and humidity.

I was just going to say that. Still haven't fixed the oil pressure problem, I suppose? What'* up with the temp? That too seems much too high.

Yea, it'* beauty, isn't it. I'm on my second cluster and still do not have all of the gauges working properly. The oil gauge is pegged just after start-up sweep (car not running) and sometimes moves to the beat of the tunes. The temp gauge floats all around and is somewhat more amusing to watch. A slight improvement over the last one which was little more than a decoration behind the wheel.

Sounds like you have my dash, except my temp works, the oil pressure and boost gauges are the one'* that are f'd.

my gas gauge does whatever the hell it wants, only functions when there is less than a gallon left in the tank.

I've had mine almost pegged on the stock pulley, it would be halfway through the orange when I was at the top of 2nd gear. Now when I floor it, it'* always pegged, never drops below 10, even after a shift. I'm hooking up an aftermarket gauge this week to see what its really doing above 10. I'll post some pics
