Default Question about KR..

today it was 35 degrees out and I came out of a turn spinning the tires. almost 30 feet away the car seemed to bogg down and the tires stopped spinning. When kr is detected and the computer pulls timing does that happen?

Were both tires spinning?

Could have been either the second tire grabbing, or the first tire grabbing at that.

Just so you know... it'* not a great idea to be burning the tires off on turns. It shifts the vehicle'* weight towards the one tire, leaving the other tire to spin freely. That will mess up your differential quickly.

Are you sure it wasn't traction control taking over? Did you scan to see whether it was KR or not?

the traction control was off. Putertopia you may have something, during the turn it was spinning but when the car got straight thats when that bogg down happened. I dont make it a habit peeling out of a turn but I was coming out of a alley after and car wash and my tires were still wet... couldnt resist. Will have to check for KR when i get a scanner also..

You can turn traction control off, but you can't REALLY turn it off.

willwren,

Engine torque management, no? That'* the 'traction control' when the traction control is switched off, correct?
