Default intercooler

i was just wondering if the intercooler that would normally fit on the gtp would work in my car and whether or not it would even be worth buying.. does it really add power getting one put on my '96 ssei? my main goal is to add more power but am at a loss in ideas after i got my smaller pulley

The intercooler should fit as these are the same motors.

Other options for more power would be rockers or camshaft.

An intercooler isn't necessarily a power adder. It allows you to run a smaller pulley. But you've got a long way to go to get to that point.

an i/c is basically a supporting mod that yields minimal power increases. you'll have more fun doing the things as stated above, most likely rockers...

40-50 HP a minimal power increase? Though I do agree that I'd do rockers or cam first.

I would do some research on the differences in mounting the radiator for it. They come ready for Grand Prix, not a Bonneville, so you might have to do some custom mounting stuff. But the core mounting etc would be the same.
