Default Spark plug questions

I guess this is for all of you with 2000+ SSEi'*.
I know the stock plug in Autolites is a 605, but I see that most of you with 3.4 SC pulleys are running Autolite 104s. Wouldn't one range colder be a 604? I ask because I'm curious, and want to get the right ones in my car. Wouldn't a 104 be shorter than a 604? My pulley just came today, and if I have the weekend off, I'm giving her a tune up and changing the pulley. One of my buddies also suggested NGK plugs over Autolites. Do any of you have experience with which seems to perform the best? Any advice / Info is appriciated.

It is an oddity in the Autolite numbering system but 104 is the next range colder in the same dimension spark plug as the 605 and 103 is colder still. Personally I am running 103'* now @ .048", but this is a summer only car and it is sleeping for the winter.

Hal, you might want to take your email out of your signature. Spambots are going to find it and pummel you to death.

Mikey, your question applies to all L67'*. 92-2003. Pulley size applies to 96-99, but we all change plugs with each step in pulley diameter.

Thanks for clearing that up guys. I was a little confused on the whole situation. BTW, what should I gap the plugs to? Do you go with a smaller gap or bigger?

assuming you have some sort of CAI or FWI, I would say go with the 104s if you dropping a pulley size. That should give you very little if not any KR since you have very mild mods right now.

Gone, although it hasn't been a problem. Appreciate the tip.
