Hey guys I think I might need a new supercharger for my 99 bonneville I am looking at a remanufactured supercharger my question is will a 1996 bonneville supercharger work on mine? Or would it be better to use a 2000-2002 supercharger? I am curious because I need to get this fixed before bad things happen.

Describe your symptoms in idle and under acceleration.

Well at an Idle the gauge moves just ever so slightly. Now when I am driving it sometimes will hesitate and then will boost but it still boosts pretty good I am just worried that I might ruin the motor. So any type of ideas will help

Is there any knocking in the problem as indicated in the title? A slight movement at idle usually just indicates a small vaccuum leak. Many people here have stated thier SSEi has done this as long as they can remember as well.

As for saying it hesitates but will boost pretty good, I think we need a better description or maybe a video. Is the car sluggish when you punch the gas? And then picks up?

The captain is on the right track here. There doesn't sound like anything wrong with the supercharger at all (they'll outlast the rest of the car easily). You have another problem. Unless you have noises? A little clarification on that would help.
