Supercharger oil
I have decided to break tradition and not use the GM Supercharger oil due to it'* high cost. I decided to put 5w50 Castrol syntec in. This is what Whipple Superchargers use in their gear cases. $4 a quart. No problems yet, I will keep updates.

Personally, one vial of SC oil isn't that expensive, considering how you don't do this very often. I won't put anything other than the suggested oil in. I discussed this with an Engineer at Magnusson, and he agrees. That oil was spec'ed by Eaton for a reason. GM just markets what Eaton calls out.
GM Supercharger oil is NOT synthetic. It'* organic. I can't argue with years of Superchargers outlasting drivetrains.
