Default URGENT M90 Gen3 will not seperate.

All the bolts are out, but we can NOT getthe damn snout and rotor plate to come apart. Please help.

I also need the torque specs to reassemble it when we're done.

Don't be afraid to smack it hard. I had to. Use a rubber mallet and smack it on the end, but not on the pulley. It will separate.

EDIT - Are you replacing the needle bearings in the case? If not, then I suggest you don't smack it too hard, otherwise you might separate the rotor plate from the case, then you'll have to reseal it, and then you would have to replace the needle bearings.

You don't need to replace the needle bearings if the rotor plate is separated from the case. In a worst case scenario you may need to add some of that special supercharger grease but that'* it.

Brian, I was under a friend'* house in a very small crawlspace when you called.

Smack it side to side with a rubber mallet. Or insert a piece of HARD wood (Oak, birch, etc) in the square notches (that'* their purpose) and twist the wood with a wrench.

Torque specs are 20ft/lbs for all bolts on the SC.

We got it. All we needed was some patience and to get Brian away from the SC so Sean and I can analyze it intelligently (jk Brian). We ended up using a putty knife to separate most of the seal, then we used a broom handle and a sledge hammer to finish it up... I must admit it was the first time I smelled a good amount of used sc oil. It smells like rancid grapeade. Anywho, we still have to get the new sc (boosty'* old genny 3) on his car tomorrow and change his accessory belt (which involves dropping the engine.). So we still have a lot of fun ahead of us tomorrow

Yeah, definitely an interesting day. They did have a storke of genius with the broom handle, and I'm not actually gonna post the how-to of that, as I can see potential for serious problems if someone did it wrong...
Anyway, the rotor plate and snout from my */C are going into the Boosty'* old ported case, upon which the rotor seals were shot.
I did forget to get the grease from the dealer, what should I look for at Advance Auto Parts?
Also, what are the torque specs for the case bolts?

EDIT, BTW, Bill, no worries, I was trying all day to get hold of Boosty, but he never did answer.

Brian, you can't get the grease locally, unless you're VERY lucky to find rheotemp 450 in stock somewhere (you're going to pay dearly). And I posted torque specs above.

$60 an OUNCE last I checked. That'* why INTENSE and ZZP buy in bulk, then sell small quantities.

And that'* why RP pre-greases the bearings.
