adding a supercharger
Sorry, haven't done much research on this, but is it possible to add a supercharger to a non-supercharged version. If so, anyone know how much it would cost?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The amount of parts and labor to do it are extremly prohibitive. It'* basically like building the motor from scratch. Until recently....Intense Racing has recently developed a kit. I think it'* around $1500

The most cost-effective way is to sell your SE, SLE, or SSE, then buy a Supercharged model (SSEi or Supercharged lower model, they're out there, but sometimes hard to find).
Second would be a FULL swap. Engine, trans, wiring harness, and PCM.
Third would be an actual conversion, but you still have to worry about the trans.
Nobody has attempted this third option to the best of my knowledge. There are many differences between the motors.

For the problems they are having with it, I wouldnt trust it for a few years after it comes out. Cause itll end up grenading a tranny.

Well, if it were me, if I would get that M90 kit, I would also throw in money to get the trans built up. I couldn't just give up my car, especially if it was a newer one.
