3.25 pulley reliability question?
hi,
im planning like probably many know now install my 3.25 next spring, with supporting mods,
yesterday i hear someone at the drag (he got a GTP) telling me that getting down to 3.25 is risky for blowing a gasket.
is it right? and if yes, what can i do to prevent that?

Cars ares running smaller pulleys than that with out a problem with stock gaskets but you need suporting mods to take care of the KR you would get.

A 3.25" pulley is not going to cause you to blow a head gasket. We run a 2.55" pulley on the GTP daily and the heads have never even been off of it. It has the original head gaskets and it has had over 15psi boost for more than 15k miles, and it has had 11psi+ for its entire life 33k+ except the first 300 miles. With the stock cam we hit 17psi or more on some occasions and it caused no problems. If that doesn't convince you, I'm not sure what will...
