50HP NOS on 2001 SSEi???
I have a friend who will sell me a NOS kit he had for a mustang pretty cheap. I was wonder how much of a pain it would be to fit it to the Bonne?? What parts are available? If the engine can handle it? I have a 3.4 pulley Intense PCM and Intense FWI already on the car.
Thanks

Nitrous isn't too popular here.....yet. But, yeah, chances are it can be adapted for the bonne. I've got a kit that was originally intended for a chevy TBI set-up. As long as you've got the solenoids and enough hose, it'll work. A wet kit is preferable, but you can run a dry one too. There are a few guys here with nitrous, I'm sure they'll kick in their advice too.

I am not a BIG nitrous guy just had a friend who has it laying around!
I believe it is a dry kit. I don't think I would use it too much but might be nice to have If I can do it for a reasonable price.

You have it backwards, Doug. You want a WET kit for a supercharged or turbo'd motor. WET. That'* the only somewhat safe way to do it.
I'm not a big fan of it. Too many issues, and in my mind, it'* for the rice, but that'* just my opinion.
I'd prefer to make power the old-fashioned way.

It will work, But dry kits run the engine way to lean and tend to break the top of pistons apart in any engine,.... and what gave Nitrous a bad name long ago. Peoples attitudes about this here gets annoying. If someone wants to put nitrous in,... Whats it to a particular persons interest one way or another. It'* easy for an SSEi owners to jump on the lets bash nitrous.......For some of the SE and SLE owners it is a very viable way to get competitive. Todays Wet kits are proven reliable and safe these days over and over again, If they are put in and run correctly. . I didnt put NOS onto a brand new $5000 engine without some exhaustive study. . And having tortured a Series 1 3800 in a Buick. It still starts and runs fine, too bad the rest of the car sits and parts keep falling just sitting in the grass . RICE??? NOS is as American as apple pie........ Now You knew I was gonna say that.

Venom really had no other options for the Northstar. I can respect his decision for that reason.
With an SSEi, you have MANY options without resorting to NOS. Many LESS RISKY options.

I just had to bust on ya Will. And ya, .... there are so many things to do to an SSEi and with the Boost it already develops with an */C ., Ntrous could be the straw that breaks the camels back with an engine with some miles on it. But I wonder how much more it could help a healthy 3800S/C though given they could really use the frosty air that comes out of a NOS Bottle. My purge shoots right up the center of the winshield and the resulting ice there and across the moon roof concerns me.
