Default Paint plastic supercharger cover?

Has anyone painted the */c cover? If so what kind of paint, or is it best to leave it off?

Look at my sig. It'* a 'Cast look' paint from somewhere. Can't remember. You gotta clean it up VERY well first. I'd strongly reccommend venting the cover first like I did. Home Depot gutter guard mesh (home raingutter department). It makes an 8-10°F difference in NOSEDRIVE temps believe it or not

I can look up the paint later if you want me to. PM me the request so I don't forget, and I'll post it here.

(On the way to the store to finish getting parts for a 3.5 Vtec Ramair system for a friend right now )

I cleaned mine with a parts cleaner solution then water and soap then brake parts cleaner (its self drying) and sprayed down a few coats of ford Cardinal red car paint used about 2 cans on my Super cover and my strut bar center, i used another can on my maxi fuse center (small cans) I bought it at Orielly auto parts for abot 3.50 a can, willwren is right vent your Super cover when you have it off, I used that ricey grill stuff that they sell for grill inserts in imports, which was a little pricey (about 40 bucks) considering I only used about 10 inches of it after all the cutting and trimming. Its also the only other thing that blings under my hood except my polished intake tube. Hey willwren what did you use to hold your venting on your cover (i used god greatest invention JB WELD LOL )

The Home Depot mesh is 1/4 the cost of the stuff you bought, and you get 4 times as much. I've done 3 covers with it so far, and haven't used half of it (my L67 cover and 2 L27 covers).

I used clear silicone caulking. The bathroom/kitchen sealer type. It'* flexible and withstands high temps. Holds the mesh in great.

Good idea with that caulking stuff I wish I woulda thougha that Yer right I coulda got the stuff cheaper but then again I like the bling more than the painted look and my super cover is red so a red grille would just be a little much but for what I have in it I think it looks pretty durn good
