BCS problem? Confirmation..

Default BCS problem? Confirmation..

OK.. a few things I"d like to confirm before doing it. Bro has a OBD II scanner, but it only reads for stored codes.. none there..
So does that mean the PCM isn't tellin to dump boost while driving??

He also says to take some water in a spray bottle and spray all the vacuum hoses while the car idles.. and if I heard the idle go either up or down from idle.. that means there'* the vacuum leak in that area. ( but would this hold true in this case? )

I just want to ensure a better way of checkin for vacuum leaks before gettin the BCS other then smoking ( especially now that my new house'* garage is a storage and later on be turned into a

Murdock, the little vacuum lines won't draw enough water from a small crack or leak to affect idle. You really need to disconnect each fitting and inspect them one at a time, particularly the ones on the vacuum accumulator on the firewall. Just follow all the lines everywhere.

You need to know if it'* the BCS or the actuator. It could feasibly be either, or the PCM as you mentioned. What does the actuator do when you rev it in gear? Can you chock the wheels, set the brake, and have Tam rev to 4000 rpm'* in Drive with a foot on the brake? Watch the BCA on the front of the SC (from the side, not the front) and tell us if it moves?

thanx Bill.. I will get some blocks and try that out this weekend.. probably sunday.. so should the actuator physically move up and down??
