Default How to tell if I need a new snout?

I think I can hear my bearings. I dunno for sure, but i think I need a new coupler too. Is there any way to tell? Or does someone who has replaced one listen to my car, and tell me if I need one? Finally, does someone rebuild them around here, who can do it for me? I probably can do it myself, but I do not have acess to tools right now.
