Boost control.
I have question about BCA.My boost gauge barely moves over 0 mark.
I connected Actron9145 and went for a ride and it shows 100% boost all the time, whether on idle or moving.
When on park and on idle that metal stick from BCA suppose to be pulled inside that canister(BCA) all the way up and when unplug vacuum line from the top goes all the way down.
In my case it goes down but when vacuum line is connected,it'* not going all the way up.
BCS is changed(thanks to BillyBoost supply) but boost still the same and after some driving CEL comes and 0640 (QDM 1)code shows up.Maybe it somehow connected too?
Thanks in advance

Well, this is the first time I saw this post
Have you been able to hook up a stand-alone (mechanical) boost gauge to verify that you are putting boost out?
On supercharged models before 96, the MAP sensors sole purpose is for the boost gauge, and nothing else. So this is my thoughts on what is going on:
1) MAP is toast. Unlikely, but possible.
2) Vac/boost line going to MAP is either cracked or perhaps it somehow got a checkvalve installed, allowing vac to go through it, but no boost.
3) Boost gauge itself is defective.

This is not some 'corner' of the Forum. This is the only correct spot for this post/topic, because this is where the Forced Induction experts look for problems to help with.

Thanks for reply.
I wasdriving with Actron connected and it shows that MAP sensor is OK.
I will be checking vacuum lines and BCA .I want to remove BCA and apply some vacuum to check how shift is moving and if canister/diafragm isn't leaking/damaged and how that thing that BCA is connected on SC is moving by itself.
As for gauge I've read on this board not a single person report bad gauge yet.Rather rare event.
But maybe I'm the first one?

Nope. Doesn't sound like you actually have full boost if your BCA isn't travelling fully. Your gauge is reading what I'd expect in that case.
The gauge is electrical. The PCM gets a reading from the MAP sensor, then sends a signal to the gauge for the boost indication.

Thanks everybody for your input.
Last thing before I shut up:
If anybody has BCA for sale(used or new ) PM me with your offer.
Sorry for posting it here, didn't want to open new just for few sentences.
