Thats will work fine, I thought you were talking about a switch to control the lights at other times, the way you have it drawn up the strips will flash when you unlock and during the day when the car is in gear, no illumination at night

So the strips will be off at night?

thats what I was talking about before, I have a whole extra system in there for accessory power, if you had an aftermarket radio this would be easy but there theres wires under the dash that have accessory power just not sure which ones

How would I wire it if I just wanted the lights to be always on when the key is on. Excluding a switch out of the equation. I'm trying to wire them right now but every fuse I check doesn't seem to work for it.

Alright well after playing around a bit (and finding out I was doing it wrong doh!) I got it to work off of Accy under the hood fuse block (I didn't want to have to run wires to from the engine compartment to the front). One more problem though. My wipers work with the fuse block cover off but not with it on. ?????? This seriously confused me. I'm using the Buss Fuses HHH Accessory Mini Add-A-Line fuse. It plugs into the block and then you put the accessory fuse into it. The Add-A-Line fuse has a positive wire coming off of it that you wire to your accessories power and then just connect the negative of the accessory to the negative of the battery. LEDs work fine now but the wiper thing really confuses me. Why would it work with the cover off but not on?
Here'* the Add-A-Line fuse http://www.autobarn.net/atm-line.html
Thanks for all your help so far Frank

I've just heard bad stories about those but never used them, seems like they are good to use to me
that is really weird that the wipers are like that, maybe a wire is loose somewhere, what if you put the cover on and jiggle the whole box a little to see if that fixes it
