Default Blower Fan Keeps running

For some apparent reason or no good reason my blower fan keeps running. No preceding event. I have to unblug the fan (on the firewall) each time I stop for more than a few minutes (to keep the battery from draining). Any Ideas? Relay? Short in wiring (most likely place)? Etc.?

Thanks

No, fortunately it'* under the hood. It'* located under the Maxifuse/relay center that is more towards the passenger'* side. If you have difficulty finding it, you can trace the wire loom from the blower motor right to it. This is a solid state electronic part and can fail just the way you describe. Before you replace it though, you should check the voltage on the control wire (gray I think) to make sure it'* 0 volts. This will verify that it is indeed the BCM.

New, there about $70 or more. The one in my 93 is from the junkyard and cost less than $20. It'* still working well. Since it'* so easy to change, I decided that saving the $$ was the thing to do. If the used one fails, I can replace it in about 15-20 minutes with minumal effort.
