Default Weird seat problem!

Well here it is. My seats on my 90 SSE are both electric and air ( for lumbar support).

It seems that once and a while I can no longer do anything with them. The seats ( both driver and pass) will not move in any direction and the air will no longer work anymore. Now when I try to use the air I can hear the realy clicking under the passendger seat ( compressor is mounted under there) but nothing. If I let the car sit it comes back.

Do you think it could be loose connection??

I came home and couldn't move the seat back but it sat for a couple hours and then it worked again. Since it is both seats and not just one of them I am thinking possibly the actuall control panel mounted between the seats, is that possible??

Since it is both seats I would suspect the seat control module, spill any coffee lately?

Me, no. Don't think she has either. We have only had the car on the road for about a month now so who knows what happened with the PO. It has been doing this pretty much from the beginning.

I wonder if it might be the contacts in the switch that selects the left or right seat.

I'll have to dig into that a bit more and find out.

That'* one of those loose electrical things. Try wiggling wiring harnesses while you have your finger on one of the buttons to see if you can find the bad connection.

That'* always fun to do in -30 weather. She may have to deal with it till it gets warmer so I can play with it.
