New to the forum...'98 SSEI wol would like to keep both the high and low beams on
I just joined this forum my dad, has a '98 SSEI and I installed Silverstars in the high and low beam for him, but he would like more light.
He also has a '97 Ram Sport that we put the '99 Sport front end on, and I wired his headlights up with relays so on low he has all four low beams on, and on high he has all four high beams on, and it works awesome. His Dodge doesn't have any "lamp out" indicators in the dash to worry about.
I can get it all wired up, but I have read on here that the "lamp out" indicator comes on in the cluster, and I am not able to click on any of the links to figure out how to fix this.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

That'* all part of the light control module. You can't do that for two reasons. One, ias far as I know it'* internal, no relays. And two, it'* illagle. You can't modify the headlights in any state. I had already looked in to it and there simply is no easy way to do it other then rewiring it. And that will give a lamp out message.

It'* not illegal to have both the high and low beam on at the same time. GM cars and trucks have had it from the factory in some vehicles over the years. My wife'* 2001 Hyundai keeps the low on when you hit the highs, and the wiring hasn't been touched. The wiring for this mod is exposed, I don't have to do anything internally to the lights to have the lows stay on when he hits the highs. I am just trying to find out what to do, if anything, to stop the "lamp out" indicator.

To my knowledge, it is illegal to modify the front light configuration from factory. If it comes stock with 4 light high beams, it'* legal. The only way I know of to do this is to add a switch to turn on one set of lights. I'm sure you can do it all with relays and such, but you will most likely get a light telling you there'* a problem.
