Makes just as much sense as having a tach in an automatic to start with. Unfortunately, I don't know where the stock wire is. But, my remote starter has a small gauge wire that wraps arounfd the number one spark plug wire to verify the car is running. Could you do something like that for your light?

Many starters do get the signal near the ICM, although it must feed into the harness that plugs into the cluster.

Who has an FSM to give a color and cavity number on the connectors?

You came back to tell us you found it, but didn't say where. Your input would be helpful for when people search the forums looking for how to find a tach wire (like I'm doing).
