does my 88 sse have a voltage regulator.?
and if so can that be the cause of my battery drain which kills the battery in one night if my alarm rings 2 or 3 times or if i leave my hazards on to run into a store.?
this is getting so annoying having to ask for a jump all the time as the battery goes so dead the booster pack dont jump start it.. i replaced the battery even tho it was new...
and the car will be fine if i drive it all day but once i leave it to sit over night and some loud a$$ ricer passes with one of those soup[ cans it sets my alarm off and kills my batt.
( damn ricers )

where would i check and where do i start.. im sorry but this battery drain issue has been a major headache since i got the car almost 4 yrs ago..
i changed the alternator as well as the battery.
i do have an issue with the door pin on the drivers side door..
the hole that the door pin screws into to ground itself out is rusted and worn and the door pin is so loose that most of the time it dont work. the lights wont come on or the alarm wont go off when i open the door.. but if i play wiith the door pin i can move it sometimes to get it to work for a lil while..

drain
Quick suggestion. JB Weld the door pin in, that will drain it if the lights stay on.
The alarm should cycle through and eventually go off.
Also try unplugging the power antenna in the trunk for a night. Its hot at all times untilk it reached the limit switch and sometimes they stick.
