Went back up there today and cleaned that ground "pack" and the car fired right up but died a few miles down the highway when we got to the first stop light. He said he wiggled the ground pack and it fired back up . When we got it home I took the ground pack apart again and cleaned it so well that it'* now a piece of shiny copper
and I took the car for a drive around town for about 10mins and the car didn't die at all. I think the problem is solved and I thank you all for your help. If it does die again I guess the only other thing would be to replace the fuel pump itself.
