think about it. how many thing on this car can be plugged in wrong. why would these relays be the only thing that could be pluged in backwards and cause damage.
edit: plus I have personally done this (relays in both positions)

I am thinking about it and how much money the dealer/gm could make off of one little thing. That would have to be one heck of a wiring job. I don't want to insult you Sonoma, but the big red "x" keeps popping up in my head

just try the "bottom" one, that is the trunk release relay. easy to test.

At first I couldn't picture how a relay could work plugged in upside down. Then I realized it would work if one set of the diagonal prongs energize the relay.

Wow, interesting. The digional pins would make sense. I used the fog light relay. Somoma; KUDOS
