Default I am such a tool!

My alternator wire has been misrouted for a while, but I had it strapped to one of the coil packs so it wouldn't rub against the drivebelt. Well the other day I went to test my coils and I forgot to strap down that wire when I was done. I pulled into my driveway last night and heard a slight rattling sound coming from the engine. When opened the hood:

The drivebelt tore 1/2 way through the wire! I guess the lesson of the day is: dont' leave wires hanging in the belt area.

Is this a part that I can buy, or do I have to do some splicing?

Splicing... unless you want to replace a large part of the wiring harness! Just make sure if you splice (my recommended repair method) that you properly cover the wires back up to avoid contact with dirt and water.

Oh, and secure them back to the side again this time
