Power source at the foglight switch
Alright everyone heres the question of the day, i just got a gentex mirror for my car, and i was thinking of an alternative in running all the wire down the passenger side pillar, so here what im thinking of doing, the center console on the roof (just below the sunroof switch, it has two lights and the fog light toggle) I would like to tap into that power source and use the constant to run my mirror, i havent looked at it yet but im thinking its 3 wires, Can anybody help me out and letr me know which wire i should t into, i know i still will have to run a ground and the temp probe wire but id rather not run alot of power wire, thanks for your help and any input will be greatly aprreciated, thanks
p,* the foglight switch always has a light on am i correct?

I think most tap into the map light power. The fog lights may not have power all the time to the switch. (would need to look up or test), Map lights will have power and ground though.

if you want constant power, I would suggest looking into the wiring, there is a chance that you have the wiring for the power outlet that goes up there in SE'*
if you want switched power, look into the power for the "dome" light that comes on with the door. Although that will depend if the light is positively or negatively switched

Trips In the pass A pillar there is the wires that run up to the sunroof control module....its on the RAP, so its constant when the car is on, and off when the car is off...perfect place to tap in, and its a 2 wire install, pwr and grnd.... that is what i used for my rear view mirror install

Front of the map light pulls..the back has clips. When you break it..uh..shamefull plug..I've got you covered.
There'* three wires for the map lights. and three for the fog switch...well..two and a ground.
