Help pleas…… I have a 1992 bonny es. The other day my dome lights just stopped working and the power mears. Thinking it would just be a fuse I chect all my fuses in the fuse box and they were all good??? What I think might have caused whatever happed is that my seal around my front window is all blown out. From my stereo water just runs in even snow blows in the winter time (that’* what fore 15’* douse to your car). So it gets pretty wet all around my front dome light, but its ben like that for 2 years. Just now having problems so don’t know if that’* the problem And more electrical problems when I about the car that have never work for me are the rear defrost, power driver seat, and power locks do not work. Can eny 1 hellp me are there eny in line fuses I should look for? Help pleas

well all that i cas say from experience is that electrical and water dont mix. You may have corrosion in alot of places and troubleshooting might be very extensive.

you might want to drop your headliner and investigate further. remember to check your fuses above the passenger footwell also

Thanks i dident know there was a nouther fuse box. im guna check them first thing after work go home and get my electrecle tester. hopkly i will get sume ansers there, i know frome previus exspereanses electercle trouble shouting can be totle hell, I have a 1968 doge dart i have the hole dash bord tore out and the whiring harnist un tapt with wires every where and still no louck. with probly about 20 houers in to finding the proble errrr

I tested thows fuses under the dash on the pasenger side and they were all good. i dident get to pole the hed liner down but i took the frount light fixur out and every thing was nice a clean, no sine of eny water damige there!

ok im not sure where the dome fuse is located, but since the windshield is leaking it could have corroded the wires that run down the A pillars. that is where the wiring spilts. If someone could get in here with a FSM they could tell you exactly where the wires are run

Just how many dome lights does a Bonneville have? I have this cheap ol' Oldsmobile with only one dome light(maybe that'* why they went out of business). I don't mean to be facetious, but have you checked the light bulbs???!!! The next thing I would check is the door contacts. I gotta feel'n that your problems are not this simple.

Two by the rearveiw mirror, one over each rear door.

90% of the lighting wiring is behind the dash. You've got a serious problem tracing this all out and I personally recommend you take it to a shop.

Hey Oakely, is it all the lights on the interior or just the light overhead.

Ol' TImer there are the lights that Dame mentioned and there are 4 lights in each door that illuminate too

Nune of my interior lights tern on at all, the ones on the selling, the doers, or even the 1s that light up by your feet but my all my gaiges light up. I chect the lights ballbs above my rearview Mere and there fine or appear to be up close, but didn’t use my tester. I have not chect the other ballbs and I will do right after work today! Thanks

What about the headlight switch ? Could it be bad ? I have a 1992 FSM .
I could trace the circuit for you if needed. Even if I did this you would have to be able to troubleshoot with a volt meter. It'* a quick look in the FSM let me know.
