Default Parking lights not turning off

Newbie here, second post. My 95 SE doesn't turn the fog lamps off after having the lights on, I left them on Friday when I got to work and when I came out at lunch they were off so I assume they are timed? But I still don't understand why I can't turn them off on my own.

Any ideas?

The foglights? By themselves, with no other lights on the car, and the car shut down? Sounds like you might have a sticky relay.

Sorry, fog AND parking lamps, the fogs will turn off if I flip the switch up by the headliner. They switched off after about an hour this morning, seems pretty long.

Is your Twilight Sentinel on? It isn't supposed to go more than about 5 minutes after shutdown anyway, but keep it switched off for a while (assuming you have it) and see if the symptoms persist.

Um, wait a minute, Twilight Sentinel controls headlamps as well... okay, that probably isn't the problem...

Okay, have you got an aftermarket box for something? Alarm? Remote Starter? Anything that blinks your parking lights for some kind of signal? If so, and its relay sticks closed, this is what you'll see. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

I don't think I have the Twilight Sentinel, a lady from work here had 3 Bonnie'* and she looked to see if I had it and said nope. There is a antenna in the back window for a remote start, I did not get any remotes when I bought he car last week nor do I know if one is under the hood (or wherever they install it)

It'* an extra ring around the headlight ****. There'* probably a picture of it in your Owner'* Manual.

Did somebody tell you that'* what it'* for? The only external antennas I can think of are for cellphones.

Anyway, let'* back up for a minute here. You go to drive your car. You turn on the lights by pulling out the ****. You go to wherever you're going, push the **** back in, and only the headlamps go out. Is that what'* happening?

Wish I had the owners manual, wasn't one of those in the car either. But there isn't an extra ring, that'* what my co-worker went to look for I believe.

Never noticed it until after I got the car home actually.

Exactly, noticed when I got home one night after turning the car off and pushing the **** back in that the dash lights stayed on, got out and the parking lamps (and fogs) were still on, go back in the car and pull it back out and push it in harder (almost always works don't it? ) and still on.

BTW, thanks for being patient and helping out a newbie, feeling a little dumb right now.

Unless I am sorely mistaken, all Bonne'* have the twighlight sentinel. There should be a little **** around your light **** that has a pointer on it. And a ring of dashes surrounding the whole works. The further clockwise you turn the pinty ****, the longer your lights will stay on after you shut the car off. Also, on the left side of your dash, there should be what looks like a disc with a hole in the center of it. That'* the actual sensor.

I think the "antennae" you are referring to is your rear window defroster. Looks like a bunch of wires stuck to or embedded in the glass, right? The remote access receiver is actually hidden behind the driver'* side rear door (kinda inside the fender) Again, that'* another "I think" situation

Where in MN are you? Maybe one of us MN guys can get with you and give you a rundown of the features of your car....

Had to respond to this...

Most of us remember when we were new to this stuff, so don't sweat it! I personally would rather see you ask questions than think of you trashing the car trying to guess how stuff works or how to fix it...

Nope, no pinty ****, and no sensor on the left side of the dash. The only thing that turns is the actual **** that adjusts the dash brightness and interior light on/off.

This "antenna" is mounted in the top center of the rear window, has 2 little antennas going straight out the sides and one out the top.

I'm up by Brainerd.

You know, this car has been in some sort of front end collision (seeing that the pass. headlamp, corner and fogs are beat up/cracked) wonder if that has anything to do with it?
