Rear Signal Bulbs for GXP.
The GXP lists a 5701KA bulb for the rear signal lights. It looks like a 3157NA but obviously there is some difference and I haven't been able to track down what it is. Perhaps different light output becuase of the smoked lenses??? Anyway, the 5701KA is a $13 bulb from the dealer and there isn't a dealership in Canada that has one. My dealer is reluctant to bring them in because they have to order 10. Seems the Bonneville GXP was the only car GM put these in.
I'm sure I could substitute another bulb, but I'm kinda particular about putting in exact replacements.
Thoughts??

Darcy, do you have any contacts at Sylvania or GE? They might be able to help you. I'd also suggest trying Topbulb.com or one of the other lightbulb websites, give them a call and see if they have any thoughts.
Bizarre that GM would only put this bulb on the GXP, although I guess we have seen stranger things There has to be an OEM for it, the question is who...

I was trying to locate some information on what the wattage or current rating for the 5701bulb may be, without any luck. The 3057 bulb that is used on the non-GXP 2000+ is 2.8 watts, while the 3157 is 12.8. You may want to try a 3057NA for comparison.

I use Silverstars all around and I love the look of the signal lamps in the front, because during the day they look almost like icy/hot bulbs, good luck with finding your replacements
