Electrical woes!!!!!!!!!!
Good morning I'm new here and hope I can get some MUCH NEEDED help! I have a 2005 Bonneville SLE with 71,000 miles. The other morning after start up the traction control turned off on it'* own and I could not get it to come on by pressing the button. The left turn signal indicator lit dimly as if a bad bulb but ALL turn signal bulbs are good. When the brake pedal is depressed and the left turn signal turned on it blinks rapidly then blinks normal once the brake pedal is released. Also the reverse lights come on during the same time. I also noticed my center console no longer lights nor my rear view mirror auto dimming!!!!! Can some one help me PLEASE!!!!!

Moved to it'* own thread.
Sounds to me like you have a bad ground. If memory serves there are grounds along both sides under the dash along the outside wall. And more in the trunk area. Start by checking those for any corrosion. Clean and put dielectric grease on.

TY for your assistance Danthurs, but I found the culprit! It was a loose harness in the trunk on the driver side to the left and below the light assembly. Once I firmly reconnected it EVERYTHING is back to normal!!!!!! Whew! Thanks again for the quick response. I tried another forum this morning and not a response yet
