Default no backup lights.....very irritating

since i emancipated bonnie from the dealership a couple years ago her backup lights haven't worked. just getting around to addressing the problem now. checked the fuse but it was ok, and besides everything else works except for both backups. need to check the bulbs. is the only way to get at them by dismantling the trunk lid? let me know if this sounds indicative of anything else. thanks.

First check the bulbs, the only way is through the trunk.
Check out the wiring harness and grounds. Lastly make sure the reverse switch is workimg.
