Hello. First of all i am new to the site and i have been searching for a while on my issues and couldnt find any that replecate mine to a tee.

I just purchased a 2002 Bonneville SSEI. Love the car. Lots of power. Very Comfortable but i have 4 things wrong with it:

1. Back windows do not work. Took both door panels and there is a box there (RH or LH Door Module believe its called). It clicks when i push the switch down but not up on the RH side and clicks both ways on left with no window movement on either side. I do not want to buy the module if it is actually the window motor.

2. My HUD on the car does not work at all. Tapped it and played with it. Did not try to come on or anything

3. Ext temp is saying 60 degrees celcius and doesnt change

4. Trac Control does not work

Most important of these to me is the windows then the HUD.
Any help is really appreciated

The first thing I would do is go through the fuse box checking all of the fuses that could in any way be related to the problem, they have some non-descriptive names sometimes. Even if it doesn't look blown it could be, you can be absolutely sure by testing them with an ohm meter or circuit tester.

For the Ext temp problem it sounds like your sensor may be bad. That sensor is located in the middle of the radiator mounted to the support bars.

There are two ***** that control the HUD; one controls brightness and the other controls position. Turn the one that controls brightness all the way clock wise, then slowly turn the other **** one way, then the other, to see if the HUD display comes into view. It may be adjusted so the position of the display is all the way up or down, and not in your sight line.

May not fix it, but costs nothing to try.

On the external temperature reading, if you press the top button in the DIC controls to switch to standard units, does the display change to Fahrenheit degrees? If it does not change, there is a problem with the DIC. If it does change, the problem is probably with the temperature sensor.

Please define what you mean by "traction control does not work". Do you see a "Service Stability System" message? Is the ABS trouble icon lit up? Describe all symptoms and any lit symbols or error messages being displayed.

For the rear door window issue, remove the electrical connector from one of the motors and apply 12 volts direct to the connectors. Does the motor turn. This can be done on the vehicle, or you can remove the motor if it is easier to do it that way.

Also have the car scanned. You may have a code for your traction control, such as if a WSS is out. Make sure all the wheel spin sensors are plugged in. If one is unplugged it will shut down the traction control.

There is a service stability message coming across but no ABS lights.

Asa far as the window, i will be trying the idea either tonight or tomorrow.
