Default High Output Alternator - 4.6L Engine

I'm wondering if anyone has any knowledge or experience with high output alternators for the 4.6L engine. The stock unit is a Denso SC-1 which I understand is rated for a maximum output of 140A. I'm looking at trying to increase the idle output because I've added some power hungry options which are often used during idling. I believe the alternator itself can handle the overall load I have. I've contacted a couple of specialty shops who don't have a solution for me. In the interim I'm going to try and reduce the pulley size. Currently there is about a 2.5" pulley and I have a 1.75" on the way. As it sits now, everything is great if I increase the engine RPM slightly.

Thoughts will be appreciated.

i have seen ur style alternators re-wound to a max output of 200 amps. most alts will put out 70% of its max rated value. so effectively that would be 140 amps @ idle. which sheould be plenty for any addition 1500 watts rms or less.

but im suprised that a starter/alternator specialty shop wouldnt help you boost the output.

I have another shop checking into things for me as well. The places I talked with said they aren't telling me it can't be done, only that their particular suppliers don't have parts available to do the work. If there is anywhere you can recommend I'd certainly appreciate the lead. Doesn't matter to me whether it'* Canada or the US. I'm happy to shop wherever I can get what I'm looking for.
