My driver air bag light is coming on & I've no idea why. 2000 Bonneville. Thanks for your help & comments.

I seem to remember this coming up a while back. I thought it was something to do with the clock spring in the steering column.

Thank you very much for your response. I tried to look through all the past posts & gave up after 100 or so. The good news is that the light went out all on its own in two days. Go figure.

While -- yes, it'* off -- it'* not a major issue right now, I wouldn't just forget about it. Something must have triggered it.

See if you can find someone on here knowledgeable about air bag systems to take a look at it, and make sure everything is in working order. Worst case, take it to a shop, and pay someone trained to poke around. You don't want to get into an accident and then find that your air bag isn't working.

My two cents have been wired to your bank account.
