Light out on the steering wheel..

I have a 2001 SLE and just recently the light on the Pre-set control on the steering wheel is not coming on anymore..

All other light work..

Before i start tearing things down, is that just a bulb that is gone or is that a some sort of a LED light?

BillBoost37 is a glorious beacon of light

In the pre 00 models it'* merely a bulb. But requires a quick bit of solder work to get it in and out.

I'm sending a request to 00 FSM people to get more info.

Those are incandescent lamps in the steering wheel controls, not LED'*. I wish they were LED'*, we wouldn't have these problems with burn out. My "Mute" button no longer illuminates in this rig. I started looking into this post yesterday actually, but was called away for an urgent matter. Replacing the lamp requires removal of steering wheel to gain access to the pushbutton switches & lamps. I can put up a summary of the procedure if you would like.
