Lead Battery Cable Spacer/Washer. Help?
Ok, kinda a long story, but I was cleaning my battery cables and I dropped the lead spacer for the positive cables and for the life of me, can't find it. Don't ask. Tried for 3 hours. Anyways, the 89 currently doesn't have any plates to run to the parts store. I was thinking that I could possibly put about 4 stainless washers together with some dielectric grease for the trip to the parts store? I didn't want to attempt this for fear of shorting something, so I figured I'd ask first.
Also what is the best way to clean the cables? I will check techinfo, Just thought of that.

You could use washers...or just reach down on the frame rail and pick it up. lol
Baking soda neutralizes acid. That and water work wonders.
