Default Where is my crank sensor?

I need to find the crank sensor in my 2001 SLE. Also, is it easy to change out? Any special parts needed?
My Bonnie wont start, I cant afford a scantool, I am going to do what I despise most, be a parts changer. I will start with the crank sensor, as it is the cheapest of the most common reasons for no start. I have had the ICM and coils checked out (by Auto Zone, yes I know that is only 50/50), good fuel press, and no spark. The only thing left would be the PCM...or a short or something. Can you sense my frustration?
Thanks,
Tony

Before you change that crank sensor, have you carefully checked you battery cable connections for looseness and corrosion? Check both ends of each cable. It'* a common cause for your problem.

The crank sensor shouldn't prevent a start.

However, it'* located behind your harmonic balancer (you'll need to remove it to access the sensor).

With the way our computers control the engine, the crank sensor being bad does not prevent a start.

You should leave the sensor until last. Because the car can start and run well w/o the sensor. Many of the sensors on our cars are like that, they help it run better...but not necessary for the car to run or start.

Can you give us any background on when this no start problem started to occur, if you have any check engine light or codes?

Does the starter spin the motor over?
