Default Interior Lights staying on 24-7

Hey I ve got an electrical problem that I cannot seem to find the answer. All of my interior lights stay on until I pull the fuse(#15). I have pulled the plug from each of the door handles (using fsm). They all stay lit. As you know this is the same fuse as the pwr mirrors. Its a pita not having those to use. I have replaced the headlight switch(new- wells) and have pulled the RAC module. I was told that the module was bad by the owner(good friend not a stiff) and haven't found one yet. The fsm said that if not lamp switch or door switch(all unplugged) check wiring shorted to ground(white #156)I found it on schematic but have no idea where it is at. any help would be great.

the wire they are telling you to find is most likely the door switch. Which if you pull a door panel off the front, you will look up to the actual door handle and see there is a funky looking swtich. Black with a slider.

The other possiblility (unsure on 93) is the body control module. In 96-99 it is located right next to the RAC module and all the lights etc pass through it.

I pulled that switch from every door handle and it did not work. I had this problem before when I put my headliner in I pulled the door off and while doing so we used the rear driver side door handle to lift the door. All the lights stayed on I pulled the door apart pulled that door switch and it worked but about 5 months later this happened.

Ok..go to the beginning of the electrical section. Find the diagnosis section..and run through the chart for the lights doing what they are.

In 96-99 years there was a door lock headlight switch flicking thing that would put the system in test mode, not sure if your year would have it as well. If so..it'll lead you right to the problem.
