Door locks
I notice with my car when it gets cooled the door locks won't work when you try to lock them doesn't matter if you use the bottom on the door, our use the remote the only way to lock them is manualy. So i was wondering if anybody would no what the problem was thanx.

Can you hear any clicking at all near the relay center? How about the central locking function (lock/unlock with the key in the door). It'* wierd that it only happens when it'* cold. Relays and fuses are not affected really at all with temp differences.

If you hear clicking, we can assume that the fuse to the relay is good. If it were me, I'd pull the glove box out (not the door, just the fuzzy black part) and check the door lock relay. Both the lock and unlock wires rest at ground. If there was a faulty ground, neither would work.

Sorry, I was at work, and my time was limited.
I was intending to mean the actual moving mechanisms. Rods and levers and what not. If they only stick when cold, the grease applied to the fittings inside the door could be dirty. As we all know, oil based products get thicker in the cold. So, if the grease is thickening, add a few years worth of contaminants, and you could have a situation where the motors/solenoids just don't have the power to fight it until it gets a bit warmer and looser.
Probably didn't make any sense this time, either, huh? Haven't had my coffee yet.... :goodmorning:
