Default Question on Getting my ECM Flashed

How much will a dealer charge me to get my new ECM flashed? and does anyone know if i can just bring them the ECM or do i have to bring them the car too???

Is this a new replacement ECM from GM? Sorry, I don't know the cost of fashing, or whether you can just bring ECM to dealer. I'm curious as to why you need to flash the ECM? The factory defaults are not written into the new ECM when you received it?

im gettin a used ECM for around $50, which will save me a ton of money.

Each shop is unique but you will need the whole car for most shops. They need to tap into the obd connector unless they have a special harness made up?
