I was wondering if anyone has taken off the part of the dashboard that has the vents for the defroster. Also, i have never really worked on a car with airbags, should i disconnect the airbags or battery while working on the dash? Thanks

Disconnect the battery. Unplug the yellow connector on the steering shaft. The dash vent tirm peice simply pops out. pull on it carefully.

That is a pretty cool tool. Thanks for the link. I was not able to find a hud wiring diagram, though. Anyone else?

If it'* not there, then you need the factory service manual.

Default HUD mod into a 1992 bonne se

hello all, i just posted on another forum in the 1992-99 section..........
i was reading some of the questions posted in this subject and if the 95 bonne dash is similar to the 92 then it can be done, i have done it on my bonneville a little over a week ago, i bought a hud, panel, and hud cont. switch off ebay out of a 99 bonne.
I cut the dash in my 92 enough to sink the hud unit down into the dahs, i cut it with a 4 inch cut off wheel, there is room beneeth the dash in an SE HUDless dash, beware there is a wire bundle containing about 15 or 17 wires (do not cut) aproximately 10 inches aft of where the windshield and dash meet. My car was not pre wired but if you have the schmatic for the car'* wiring for the I/P, ECM, and colum, you can wire it in yourself, speed from ECM, ground, lighting for the hud switch, blinker left and right, brights, check gauges, and power from the ACC, thats it for the wiring i put it it in wirierd it in and it was good to go,

pics of the install here..

.................................if enough people want to see whats under the hud ill take it out and show you guys what exactly under the hud with measurements of the cut hole, LET THE MODS BEGIN...........................

GOTTA RESPECT THE HUD
