HELP! LOOSE FUSE BOX? PCM??
I am lost. I have a 98 SSE and sometimes it takes a few cranks for it to fire up and sometimes it starts right up. Then after a little time running it shuts off. I have taken it to 2 different shops and when they scan it they find nothing wrong. I have a system in the trunk and I was thinking maybe the system being loud, maybe the vibration loosens the fuses in the fuse box and maybe I need to replace the fuse box and find something to help with the vibrations. Or possibly the PCM needs to be replaced because I have read a few forums on here where people seem to have similar problems. It is not running as of right now because I haven't really had the need to get it fixed yet because I also have an 06' Eclipse GT that I drive everyday but I would like to get the Bonneville fixed so I can drive her since winter is here. Please help with any ideas. Thanks!

Wow, if it'* rattling loose fuses, what'* it doing to your hearing?
Seriously, I'd suggest to start by cleaning up your battery cables...both ends. Pay close attention to the positive cable where it connects to the battery. Pull the boot off, and clean up both cables/connections thoroughly. Also, check and clean the ground bus connections. Information on that is in techinfo.

Ok that sounds like a start rather than having to purchase new parts right now since I'm not 100% sure those are causing the problems. Yea the system is pretty darn loud. I will give it a shot and inform you on how it goes. Thanks for the idea Archon.

Hmm, kinda sounds like what happened to Silverbullet last WCBF. He kept stalling and the car wouldn't start. I believe it was the fuse box, but double check with him.
