Are they the same part, one with more buttons than the other?

the one from a 92-99 bonneville. It'* the 5 and 3 button one. I can get pix if need be.

I'm looking for their harness diagrams, what goes into what, what switches what. Which connectors are for which buttons.

What'* momentary, what'* on/off.

I'm still not sure what you have there. What buttons are on the three button one, and does the five button one have those same buttons plus two more?

Fud, he should have the standard 3 button with performanc/normal shift and traction. The 5 switch pod should add performance/touring ride. He'* trying to figure out if the switches are momentary, push-on/push-off or what wires go to each set of contacts.

There are two varieties of three button switches. Some have the performance/touring suspension and some have the performance/normal shift.

So I'll leave that one alone for now. It should be included in the 5-button anyway.

The performance/touring suspension (SPDT switch):

Light green - Touring pole on the switch
Brown/white - Performance pole on the switch
Dark Green - Performance LED
Pink - Touring LED

Performance/Normal shift (DPDT switch):

Black No. 1 - Input to common pole 1 on switch (returns thru 348 ohm resistor and light blue wire OR nothing)
Black No. 2 - Input to common pole 2 on switch and illumination bulb (returns thru performance LED OR touring LED, common 470 ohm resistor and brown wire)
Light Blue - 348 ohm resistor in performance selected mode
Brown - Through 470 ohm resistor to both LEDs

Traction control switch (SPST momentary, normally open):

Gray - Through diode to illumination bulb
Purple/White - To traction on LED
Brown/White - To switch

Shared:

Black/White - To traction control switch AND traction LED through 470 ohm resistor AND to Touring/Performance LEDs AND common pole on the Touring/performance switch.

Good luck!

Could someone open up their console and snap a pic of the harnessess? I don't have one, so i don't know what wires are what. And i bet my chilton wiring diagrams don't have them either....

Bring 'em with you Saturday Jason. We'll take a look-see and slap the Multimeter on 'em if necessary.....

Since the assembly is complicated, you need to tell us what you want to do with them, and then we can tell you which wires to use for that function.
