Gages acting up..
Every once in a while my gages will act up. The volt gage always is out of sorts, but the rest are usually normal. When they act up, the fuel gage will read about 1/2 tank above what is really in the tank, and the temp gage will read about 1/4 too low. These two misreadings happen at the same time.
Lately, it has been misreading more frequently, and constantly for the past 3 days. Is this a common problem? Is there a quick fix to this? If i have to get a new cluster, how much could i expect to pay for one?
Thanks
Art

It is a common problem to have an erratic guage cluster. There are procedures here for removing and cleaning the cluster:

Before you do that though, it is a good idea to check how corroded your battery terminals are, and clean them regardless.
