92 SSEi seat problem
Hey guys,
the power seats in my 92 SSEi stoped working yeterday. They been kind of getting "sick" in the last few weeks i guess. They now completly stopped working except the last row of buttons on the seat controller. The bolster and lumbar supports work but the other buttons to make the seat move forward/back up/down and the tilt no longer work.
Im wondering if this is a common problem that happens eventually and the seat motors die or it might be some electrical problem?
Im thinking the seat motors are toast but i would rather get some opinion here before i attempt to change the motor or get a used seat.
Thanks

Both the lumbar control module and the seat control module get there power from circuit breaker 4 (30 amp). Since the lumbar works, I would not suspect the problem lies there. If by saying "getting sick" means that they would not work at all from time to time rather than slow/sluggish operation then I would suggest checking the connections under the driver'* seat. That'* where the seat control module lives. Disconnect and reconnect a couple of times to make a clean connection. I think there is 3 electrical connectors and one one air line. Obviously there is no need to disconnect the air line.

I looked under the driver seat and noticed alot of water coming in from somewhere and the carpet was soaked . So i took a wet vac to it and cleaned things up.
It has somethin to do with the module then cause when i play with it the seats tilt works but thats it. After i vacuumed the floor i guess i hit that module again and it stoped working till i played with it again.
The driver seat is fubar anyway from 350 000 kms use so i might just replace it.
If i get a used seat is the motor and or module suppose to come with it ?
Thanks again
