Default DIC / Lamp Monitor

Hi there , i'm newly came a member here to this forum and very happy that we have such club .

Now my problem is that my lamp monitor in the DIC all the time says brake lamp (and showing the center window lamp indicator light on) and won't go out
All of the bulbs are good working , even the specified one .
I try to remove the battery and again I connect it , I start the car it’* gone and no more indicating for any failures :?:
When I drive the car at night I open the head lights and suddenly when I apply the brake the same light in the lamp monitor came on, I check the bulbs all was oky !!
Then again I remove the battery cable and connect it one again. I went inside the car to start it I found every things fine , I apply the brake many times nothing came in the lamp monitor . only when I open the main lights and without applying the brake it will after tow second indicate that the brake lamp not working . :?

Please any body can help me ?
:( :(

Make sure you have an 1156 bulb (is that the right one? Look in Techinfo) installed. Other bulbs will fit, and light up, but will trick the monitor. I've done it. Very frustrating.

My best advice is to verify the bulb # and clean the socket with contact cleaner and a toothbrush.

Other than the wrong bulb, or a burnt bulb, the only thing I've ever seen cause this is light corrosion in the socket and base of the bulb. It only takes a little to fool the lamp monitor.

You may also want to consider putting some dielectric grease on the base of the bulb.

I don't know how cheap bulbs are there, but I would replace all the brake bulbs, the four in the tail lamps, and the one or two in the high-mounted center brake lamp.

Double check that it is not indicating "tail lamp" instead of "brake lamp."

Did you replace the lamps in the center mount brake lamp?

A little more specifically, the one in the rear window. Access it from inside the trunk, up under the rear deck (between the speakers).

I'd still say to replace the bulb with a new one, and clean the socket very well.
