Climat control prob.
I have the climate control pictured above and i am having a problem with an intermitet (sp?) blower. The blower comes on half speed, then turns off and then go'* full blast all while the monitor says full blast. When it wasn't working, i used my light tester and checked the wiring going the blower and nothing. I would like to know if there is a relay or something between the control and the blower or is it just the control itself?

Yes there is a relay in the maxifuse center. However your problem may be blower motor or blower control module.
The module is located on the blower housing plastic.

Blower Motors used in Climate Control Systems are variable speed, their voltage is ramped up or down accordingly utilizing a DC logic motor control. Blower Motors used in manual control are multi-speed motors utilizing voltage dividers for the appropriate speeds. I'm suspecting a blower control module. Need GH with 96-99 FSM to assist.

As i posted, there'* no power going to the blower. Therefore, it isn't the blower motor or anything on the blower housing. But i will check the the relay before i replace the control itself. Thanx Bill.

There are no relays that operate the blower motor if the car is equipped with Electronic Climate Control. The Blower Control Module does it all. When the ECC display indicates the highest fan setting, you should read full battery voltage on the purple wire. The tough part of testing the BCM is that you have an intermittent problem so you'll have to try to duplicate the varying speeds at time of testing. The testing you've already done with the light suggests that the BCM is the problem but I'd like to see it tested with a volt meter or multimeter. This way, you can test the wire coming from the HVAC programmer (gray usually). It should read about 8 volts when fully cranked.
If you haven't already, check the connection at the blower motor and maybe even apply some dielectric grease. Don't want to be chasing big problems if it'* only little ones.

Already tested the connection at the blower. It'* in my original post.
Is the BCM in the controls or is it in a seperate area? I'll check HVAC programmer tonight at work.

Ok. Switched out the climate control itself and no difference. Checked voltage at the blower, it'* like 1.7-1.9 volts. Freezing my arse off and can't find the problem. This problem sux the most because i work in my car! Anymore suggestions?
