I'm losing it, now my power locks and interior lights don't work intermittantly. My key fob still arms and disarms the factory alarm and opens the trunk but the locks and interior lights don't work. I'm thinking a loose or corroded connection somewhere but where do I start looking???? The 'bonger' does not work either when starting the car or leaving the headlights on. I take it all of these things are connected. Is there some sort of a module somewhere that controls all of the above??

under the glove box there is a plactic piece that has 2 bolts it comes off and opens up a new fuse box..

Right... and in fact you (the original poster) haven't mentioned checking any other fuses either, such as (for '93 and similar) the one under the dash to the left of the steering column, that swings down for access.

Take a good look at those, especially if you use your cigar lighters for anything, since a short caused by a bad lighter will take out your interior lights (and power locks, too, I _think_, although I haven't got the manual handy right now).

There are no bad fuses, like I said this is an intermittant problem, sometimes it all works, sometimes it doesn't. What I'd like to know is how to figure out what is going on. I have checked each and every fuse and they are fine with no corrosion on them whatsoever. For two days now my locks and lights and chime have not worked. This morning on the way into work, the Fasten Seat Belts light came on along with the chime and now everything works. This is one of those problems that can make a guy CRAZY!!!!

Okay, next time this happens, figure out first which end of the circuit needs checking: using a test light, pop out one of the interior lights (whichever one is easiest to get at) and verify that one of the bulb contacts is hot. It'* a switched-ground circuit, so one of the two wires to the bulb should be hot; the other should be an open circuit (unless you've got a door open, in which case it should be grounded).

If it'* dead, work your way back to the relevant fuse in the fusebox, pull it, and see if one of the two retainer clips is hot. If not, your power problem is even further up the line, such as at the bulkhead connector where the wiring harnesses go through the firewall.
