electric gremlins running thruogh my 92
it started withe the stereo plug, someone cut it loose i think i got it right then 3 days later my dash lights stopped working, when i replaced fuse 21(instrument panel lighting) which caused fuse 14 (parking lights)to blow. i think they are both good now but still no dash lights. the bell that tells you the lights are on is going off even with the lights off.
does this sound like a faulty headlight switch or are there still problems with the stereo wires?

Sounds like checking the headlight switch would be a good move. With my switch out of the car, the dings keep happening with d/* door open.
When you pull it out. Take the connector off and look at both the switch and connector. A short/problem will look like burnt (brown) pins or melted plastic. Doesn't take long to pull it, knowing if it is eliminates one more possibility.
Be careful of buying a new one at your local parts store. Advance part #LS237 has the wrong front end on it for the sentienel bezel. I had to go to a junk yard and spend less. Plus I picked me up an extra connector so if mine ever melts again I'm set.
If it'* your switch or connector let me know..I might be able to help you out.
