Wierd.....Usually it'* the other way around. Check your bulb connectors for moisture and corrision. Clean and replace as you see necessary.

Which bulbs in particular failed that the lamp monitor didn't detect?

Given enough time, I think it'll ignore any of them. It'* comparing current flow in each circuit to what it "remembers" from last time, and flags the problem whenever it detects less of a current draw, on the theory that one or more bulbs are out. However, after enough driving sessions have occurred, it will decide that the current flow (including dead bulbs) is the new standard, and stop complaining until yet _another_ bulb on the circuit fails, which will lower the current flow even more, triggering a new warning, and the great cycle of life repeats until some new bulbs get put in.

In fact I have one flaky license-plate light bulb that went out the other morning, and the lamp monitor went _completely_ berserk over it, giving me the Bong-Bong-Bong-Bong routine and light-up warning, over and over every six seconds or so, during my whole 2-mile drive to the train station. (I think the bulb may have been flickering on and off as I was driving along.) In the evening, the bulb had decided to play ball again, and the system quit complaining about it.
